What we are doing

A Partnership Task Group is being formed to co-ordinate crime reduction activity in the town centre area of Scunthorpe.

Bringing together police officers, PCSO's, the Street Right team and others to operate in a mutually supportive way from a single base.

North Lincolnshire Business Association

The Association was formed to represent the needs of businesses in North Lincolnshire after concerned traders met with representatives from the police, council and Safer Neighbourhoods to discuss issues of anti social behaviour in Scunthorpe town centre which they believed was having a negative impact on trade.

The Association is working together with representatives from the Safer Neighbourhoods Partnership to tackle the problem.

An alcohol restriction zone has been introduced in the town centre and a number of people have been dealt with by the Anti Social Behaviour team.

The association is set to become the official Business Crime Reduction Partnership of North Lincolnshire and aims to gain the Safer Business Award for the town centre by the end of March 2006.
