Residents can expect to see more officers on the beat in parts of Scunthorpe now five PCSO's have joined one of the region's Local Policing Teams.
A total of 20 PCSO's started work with the Humberside Police in April, and five officers have joined the Scunthorpe North LPT. They will be working 37 hours a week, dealing with anything from public order and breach of the peace to traffic offences. They have all completed a comprehensive training programme and have shadowed police officers to experience a variety of incidents.Their main role will be to deal with minor anti-social behaviour and youth disorder.
